At First Assembly, we see our kids as important members of the body of Christ. 1 Timothy 4:12 says, “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity”. We believe our kid’s can be examples for us in life. The different events and programs we have are geared around raising up leaders not just in our church but in our community and our world.
Kid’s Rock is a safe, secure, and exciting environment where kids can come to know God the Father; build a relationship with Jesus Christ the Son; and know their destiny through the Holy Spirit. We believe children are gifts from God according to Psalm 127:3 “…children are a heritage from the LORD…” Every Kid’s Rock service children gather together in a kid-friendly, age appropriate atmosphere to praise, worship and learn God’s Word. Our Kid’s Rock team provides a loving, educational, safe and fun environment for all our programs. Each volunteer on our Kids Rock staff are qualified, trained and screened. We use a secure check-in system in which parents and children are photographed to ensure the safety of every child. This system uses an infrared fingerprint scanner for parents to check-in and check-out system. A list of people authorized to pick-up children is also a part of this system. Parents check-in their children each week for all of our Kids Rock programs. This program provides the optimum security and peace of mind for parents while their children are at Kids Rock.
Each week through our different programs children learn about God’s love for them, social skills through interacting with other children and our Kids Rock staff and age appropriate lessons on the principles found in the Bible. Each Kids Rock program is designed for specific age groups to provide the best environment for each child. Each program has a unique schedule, lesson, crafts, activities tailor made for each age group. The Kids Rock staff stays up-to-date on the best techniques and activities to provide a wonderful learning environment. At Kids Rock, parents can be assured their children will be safe, have fun and learn in secure, clean and loving environment. Kids Rock isn’t about baby sitting, it’s about educating, equipping and raising up children to love God, love life and love all people.
